Daily Mental Health Check-In
A daily check-in can help you notice what is happening without forcing a diagnosis or a perfect explanation.
For emotional check-ins, private journaling, and low-pressure self-awareness.
Five gentle check-in questions
This is a reflection tool, not a diagnosis or a substitute for professional care. If you feel unsafe or in crisis, contact local emergency or crisis support right away.
- What feeling is most present right now?
- What happened today that may have shaped this feeling?
- Where do I notice this feeling in my body?
- What would feel supportive, even in a small way?
- What is one kind next step I can take today?
Keep the questions gentle
The goal is not to score your day. The goal is to give your feelings a little room and notice what kind of care might help.
Use the same template when you are tired
Repeating the same questions lowers the effort. You can answer in full sentences, fragments, or one word at a time.
Know the boundary
A check-in can support reflection, but it cannot diagnose mental health conditions or replace professional care.

UnderTree keeps reflection private and gentle, so a small note can become a journal entry you can return to.
